Psychic's? Believe or not?

My mom had the exact same thing happen. She knew the instant that her father died as she was in the car on the way to the hospital to see him. And his time of death coincided with the exact minute that she felt that

This seems a common event, described by sane normal people.

A guy Im close to at work had a son that committed suicide. No warning, no note, no premeditation, no prior attempts - so a total surprise.

His daughter was a hundred + miles away riding in the car with his second wife of 5 years at the time.
They both saw something that looked like a ball of light shoot into the car erupt into a flash then it was gone, it was described as as bright as welding but it caused no pain in the eyes.

The daughter said, astonished "that was my brother did you see him too" ? of course the wife didn't, but did see the ball/orb and flash.
Neither knew about his death at the time, the phone ring a few minutes later.

The second wife told the story, and said it's changed her to her very core.

Many years ago. He wrote a series of books that I read but I don’t recall much about details. I think he wrote about creative visualization being able to create positive events in our lives. It has worked for me.
Yes, specifically to this discussion, he described everything as having vibration and that human brains can send and receive vibrations to and from other brains.

Some people are gifted with that intuition.

Occasionally my mom would know of things / bad news before another relative called her.

Million dollars used to be laying out there for anyone that could prove psychic ability. Had been laying there for decades. Many tried and many failed to prove their predictions or psychic ability. Seem's a genuine psychic would have sucked up that cash. The challenge/reward money went away with the death of the founder/debunker James Randi of the JREF foundation. When people say that police forces use psychics in their investigations it doesn't really mean what you think it is. If anyone comes forward with information pertaining to a crime it is duly noted, psychic or citizen. According to the FBI, psychics have never solved a case or lent any actual usable clues to conclude any investigation ever. The use of generalities and no specifics is helpful for the scammers that declare their abilities. If they are actually talking to the dead it seems that specific info would be available, it never is.

Love James Randi.

I bring up his dowsing challenge quite a bit here where it's actually used as a serious tool.

He never did surrender that money after hundreds of attempts to get it, my favorite book of his was called Film Flam.

My wife or I will often mention something, and the other one will have been thinking about the same thing at the same time. It's a bit uncanny.

This might be common with couples who've been together for a long time.

I'm not sure if there's any sort of paranormal thing happening here, or whether it can be explained as being a predictable consequence of spending lots of time together.

Many psychics were debunked over the years showing how they came up with their "intuition " if you will.

My mother-in-law would randomly frequent a few. She also used to do tarot cards with friends/family but not for money. Prior to all the phone ID's she would contact one in FL (we are in NY). Basically as I recall this lady had a waiting list and you would send a check with contact and she would call to make an appointment to talk to her which was usually weeks out. My wife found the number about a year after her mom passed and called her, wanted to talk and what she had to do. The lady said I'm calling you Thursday at 8am (it was like Tuesday). She said that appointment had been cancelled 4 times and that there was a lady named (her moms name) that kept coming in her mind and wanted to reach out. My wife said I haven't sent a check to you yet, lady said I know, don't worry, send it tomorrow or the next couple days.

My wife had frequently prayed to her mom and the night before did so with a "you need to let me know this is real". Morning comes, getting my son ready for school, he knocks the candle with her picture holder on the floor and it shatters. Wife is devastated but gets new candle (blue) old was yellow. She also has all curtains closed, lights off in living room. I take my son to school and stay away.

I get back later and wife is happy, calm etc. re-counts a bunch of stuff. The lady sends an old school cassette tape in the mail to listen to afterward. The stand outs as my wife said. Lady says good morning, your mom says she likes the blue candle you have today better than the yellow one yesterday. She said to turn the lights on in living room and open the shades so she can see you better. During the conversation medium tells my wife, even though it's a special day, tell your husband to take the appointment or you will have a 3rd child that he really doesn't want. 1 hour later the doctors office calls to reschedule my vasectomy appointment, and it will be on my sons birthday.

Lots of other things discussed that put my wife at peace with many things. Some things like above really do make you wonder.
