These will be on deck after I run through the 3 FL500S's I have left.

5000 mile OCI's on my '25 3.5 Hybrid

Decent enough looking filter. I don't really split hairs over filters much. I buy a decent filter and move on. With shipping these were $2.80 ea.

Rust and sloppy glue. Not my cup of tea.

Thanks for the c&p.

So, do you tear every filter apart before you use it for approval and then reassemble it?

I mean, you can sample a group of filters and condemn them today, but tomorrow's batch can be completely different.

I'm sure my 300k+ Accord and 180K+ TL have had many a rusty filter. Probably some sloppy glue too.

People are way too uptight about filters.

Basically a low tier Purolator. The price is right if that's the main goal, and it does have a silicone ADBV.

At this point in time, there are some filter makes that show more constant built quality than others. That's all people can go by, and typically do go by.

Well you know thats not possible. But there is a pattern of poor QC among certain filter companies. I avoid those and stay with the most consistent good quality filter brands.

I do cut all my used filters and many virgins, post them here on occasion.

Looks decent to my eye. By appearance, I'd call it a current standard Purolator Red L series by another name. Imo, worth $2.80 including shipping. Any details on the where obtained for that price? Thanks for including shot of louvered tube with media removed.

Thanks for c&p.

Rockauto - they were a 'manufacturer closeout' or whatever the term for it is they use. $1 and some change plus shipping.
