Protec PXL57145 MIM C&P

Vehicle: 2007 Prius ~201K miles
Installed 05/2025 Protec PXL57145 / Kirkland 5w30
Removed 08/2025 @ 3911 miles OCI
Filter info: Protec PXL57145MP (made in old Mexico) purchased from Rockauto 02/2025 case of 12 @$1.74/each. I purchased these after picking up a case of Protec PXL57356 for my Hondas. The PXL57356 from 09/2023 were made in PRC and has round holes. The PXL57145 from Mexico came with tiny louvers. I selected this longer filter for Toyotas over the shorter PXL51394. After cutting and opening this one, I might shelve the rest for the future while I burn through better filters.

Gave the old Prius a treat for surpassing 200K after earning her Toyota 200,000 mile club sticker. Filled with Pennzoil Ultimate Premium 5w30 along with a genuine Toyota filter 90915-YZZN1($4.24).

I had these filters to choose (see photo) and typically don't buy branded filters. The filter position on the Prius 1.5L 1NZ-FXE is tucked against the lower block and AC compressor making short filters near impossible to bare hand grab onto.
