Here is a Pronto PO5247 cartridge oil filter that is also sold under the Premium Guard brand (source). It was on my 120k mile 2008 Volvo XC90 3.2L I6 when I bought it & I ran it for 5,769 miles. There was a certain area in the media that had more carbon on it that is shown below. Based on the A/C condensor or Radiator fins (no bends/damage) + the lower mileage for the year it appears this was more of a city vehicle it's whole life. Luckily, it was a TX vehicle so that helps. I drive 90% highway so that'll change.

Side Note While the Oil was Drained:

Little did I know this Volvo has a "Low Oil Sensor" on it. It was a very hot day, well into the mid to upper 90's, & oil level slightly less than halfway between min/max when the "Low Oil" message came on the dash. I contribute this to potentially oil thinning on that hot day & potentially the level? Wasn't low though. Either way, I removed it & cleaned it with some mild degreaser then reinstalled. Have not had any light come back on since. These sensors are apparently several hundreds of dollars so thought I'd try just cleaning it off first.

What oil was used in this run?
Great question, I don't have a solid answer. Whatever the prior owner put in. The "Euro shop" that did the oil change claimed they used Valvoline "Euro" & the receipt shows "Valvoline 5w-30" but from the little that I've investigated it might be Valvoline Advance Full Synthetic 5w-30. Still trying to find a VOA of that Advance but no luck so far.

Here's some more info.

I've put in Mobil FS 5w-40 Euro for this current run. Couldn't resist WM's pricing on that oil, posted on here, a while back. Like $24.47 for 15 quarts!
