Project Farm Tests Allen / Hex Sockets

Seems like more brands of bolts would have helped, in case those he chose were out of spec and it caused many to slip before reaching a breaking point.

Wish he would also include snap on in his tests.
Sometimes he does test Snap On but the point of his channel is to compare the more expensive tools to the cheap tools to see if there indeed better. Most of the time .........Dewalt seems to be the best according to Durabilty vs Price

Chris hit it on the head, he test against the bottom of the barrel with mid grade tools but he should also use a top tier as a control like the rounded bolt extractor test.
If you read the comments on his channel you'll notice there's always some one saying "why didn't you test this brand or that brand" can't always please everyone. I wouldn't ever buy Snap On anyway because I'm more of a midgrade guy. :D

Diminishing returns is my reason. My $50 Husky 1/2 drive ratchet does the same job that my coworkers $240 Snap on does and both will probably outlast me.

I've also beaten the piss out of my Duralast 1/2 drive impact sockets (like beating them on a concrete floor with a 3lb sledge to get swollen lugnuts out of them) and they just take it like a champ.

I liked the fact that he tested on a button head screw for slippage and a regular socket head cap screw for strength. The only thing I would have done different is used a known good quality screw such as ones from SPS Technologies or another domestic manufacturer. Hardware store socket cap screws are notoriously sketchy in their quality.

It costs money to go out and buy all of the test subjects. Maybe if you bribe him on Patreon, he can have a larger budget
He seems to be doing well.
