Problem finding conventional 75w90 gl4 gear oil

I am topping off a differential that has conventional in it

Why API GL-4 in a differential? Most would suggest using a GL-5 instead.
Miscibility of conventional gear oils with synthetics shouldn't be an issue.

If you insist using a GL-4 rated gear I'd suggest Castrol Syntrans Multivehicle
75W-90 GL-4 if you can obtain it. Not conventional, but excellent.
According to SDS 15.1 cSt @ 100°C, PAO 30-75 % (likely above 50 %), VI195,
pourpoint -54°C (-51°C according to PI). Ford and MB approvals.

No idea if you persist it NEEDS to be conventional, I'd say you're safe using
80W-90 though. That said, I'd always change the complete fill instead of just
topping up.

If it's going in a diff and you don't need the adds for synchronizers, I think Redline Shockproof is GL-4 rated for diffs and non-synched gear boxes. I'm not totally sure on this though.

Here are several options that are either conventional or gl4...you may not be able to find one with both. In the past I used a yellow-metal-safe gl5 for this type of application.

If you're already in for the penny on getting under the car to top off the fluid, might as well be in for the pound and change the fluid to a synthetic 75w-90 and reseal the cover so you don't keep leaking fluid.

80w is allot thicker, so trying to find the 75w. Thanks
You're too hung up on the numbers VS. how those numbers relate to performance. Like has been mentioned already - 80w90 is what you need. Or 75w90 synthetic works as well or better, and is fully compatible with any conventional.

P.S. GL4 vs GL5 is where I am cautious about mixing, in certain applications.
