Priority Mail Big Increase

I too have perceived a decline in service from all three carriers. Packages seem to sit in hubs a day or two longer than they used to. With FedEx, Saturday delivery shows out for delivery and it never arrives with no explanation.

I just sent a package Priority Mail to AK and it sat in Seattle for a day and has now been in Kent, WA for four days. I wish I hadn't paid for Priority.

A few weeks ago wife had to send out time sensitive info to an insurance company in North Carolina. We paid ten bucks for the letter to go priority. It arrived about a week later. I think it would have gotten there more quickly with a regular postage stamp.

It probably would have gotten there fastest if you gave a kid $30 and told him to deliver it on his BMX bike! 🤬

I don’t know what planet I’m on, but priority mail conjures up a flat rate of $2.80. I looked into mailing a license plate back to Harrisburg and it was I think $9?!!!! Then I said let me drop it off at AAA, they wanted $29?!!! So I kept the plate. I could even do $5. But not $9 😂

Did some sleuthing. Priority Mail
Was $2.40 In 1990 and $2.90 in 1991. Pretty hefty increase.

Ok I guess my thinking on the price is a bit outdated! (Understatement)

Funny I sent two plates back this morning and it was 11 ounces and $5 via Ground Advantage.
It's a 28 mile round trip and drama so I ship them back....

Exactly. UPS and FedEx are no deals. The private sector isn’t more efficient. They just are allowed to charge more.
Imagine the loaded number for long haul UPS driver earnings is $170k+. Shouldn’t the job be top notch? But apparently it’s a lousy job and I think that’s coming from drivers themselves.

I wish I had an $8 hotdog!
The better $8 hot dog up here is the one I get at Port Dover Beach
