Priority Mail Big Increase

wow, might be worth driving your packages yourself sometime soon.
At this point mail order is doomed...
I no longer ship PM to Florida. First Class mail gets there two days faster and UPS in two days ground.

I stopped shipping packages USPS Priority because they don't get there any faster than USPS ground advantage and get lost a lot less. I'm not sure what's going on at USPS, but it's not good.

Let me get this straight, USPS's performance has significantly decreased and they get a rate increase? Ask FedEx or UPS if it works that way.

Priority Mail is a waste of money and a bad joke at this point. It does not get to my place any faster been like that for many years. More than 5 years ago a local TV station sent 5 packages of PM and 5 packages of first class mail to same 5 spots all around the county. The 5 first class packages either tied or beat PM. by 1 to 2 days.

My info is from Pirate Ship
For someone who ships in large volume it will hurt

In other cases you could say exactly the same with ups and FedEx. My in laws have relied on usps exclusively for 40 years and two very successful businesses. Priority mail in general.

I don’t personally care which carrier I use, but I’ve never had any issues with any really.

That said, I’ve had more parcels damaged or delayed with UPS and FedEx than USPS. And I’ve had better value in general with USPS. Maybe someone with a good corporate rate can ship cheap with ups/fedex. Not me. Maybe I’m also lucky because we have good infrastructure here.

I used USPS primarily for 17 years and it was by far the best option for my basement business, but I got out at the right time, the slide was just starting when I shut down.

UPS was only about 5 to 10 percent of my shipping but close to 100 percent of my damage claims. Some packages apparently make it through Brown simply because they don’t have enough time to destroy them all. 😱

I had UPS destroy a bag of sand. Literally a bag of sand! I'm guessing that driver won that month's pool of "which of us drivers can do the most damage to the least consequential object?".

I use UPS whenever possible. Hope they don't jack up their prices too fast, to match USPS.
They are looking for ways to get more. I sent out a not very large or heavy package the other day. It was $40.00 plus. Was told that there was a surcharge on the package because of where it was being delivered. Sent to Virginia 😲
