Price of yearly oil change

Last time I checked Jiffy Lube they quoted me $150.00 for my Mercedes! That was with their bulk oil (Pennzoil) and unknown filter. They wouldn't let me check the tank for 229.5 MB spec. so I ruled that out.
So I do it myself with Ravenol and a MANN filter and put $100.00 in it annualy.
I can confirm it’s not Pennzoil as well. Literally the guy would show up fill the tanks with one tank on the truck. On the truck it didn’t even have like a DOT number or anything. It had a name but nothing about the company anywhere. Once we even got in a batch with metal shavings in it that they put in cars. I walked out the door at that point.

Well I just swung by wally-world to get a filter and some oil for my yearly service on my 2UZ-FE 4runner.
5qt jug of M1 high mileage extended performance, plus 2 extra qts, and a Fram Ultraguard 3600. Almost $60 for everything. Anyone know what the going rate for this same oil change at a lube shop is running nowadays? $100+?
I paid $77.00 for 6 quarts of synthetic oil and paid a few extra bucks for a filter because I have a cartridge filter. The cabin air filter was dirty and they wanted $30.00 to replace it. I said "no thanks" and bought two on closeout from Rock Auto for $3.00 each and installed myself. Winter time here and my son who did the oil change last time is out of town.

At this point in my life I'm not crawling under neath vehicles.

I think my C7 at the dealer is $110ish for the 8 quarts of M1 0W40 and a filter. They have a well respected Corvette tech that does it. Fortunately he’s local to me, people online make pretty long trips to have him service theirs.

The Raptor and Yukon are about $40 for me to do it myself if you average the extra quart(s) from an additional bottle of M1 EP.

I highly suggest a MityVac. Easy peasy.
Change the filter every 2nd or 3rd time.
Seriously.

About $50 for the Wife's Flex; 6 quarts of Schaeffer and a Fram Ultra. Good for at least a year/7500 mi(12,000 km)

Even the last of my Amsoil that went into the 4Runner last summer was only $76 including filter. Since UOAs have been done and it's staying in until October, it's still less expensive than changing 2x/year even with ST.

A few months ago, Costco had M1 $22.99 for the 6qt cs. Bought a few for my GS400 & a few for my gf's '19 Civic. Bought a few Toyota filters from Wallymart so I'm set. Add in that my work commute went from 84mi/day to 6mi/day...I'm set for awhile 😁

Remember OREILLY use to run special on oil . $15 for 5qt oil + oil filter . Or $2 add for wix oil filter ..

Never see those day again .
Advance has 5qt Conventional Fram oil + a Fram force(tough gaurd) filter for $20.99 and for $25.99 you can get 5qts full synthetic fram + a Fram titanium filter(Ultra) that's not a horrible deal.

Haven’t look much into fram engine oil yet . I been using Quaker state engine oil since they introduce Quaker state defy and it’s my favore Go to oil since then . Hard for me to change the oil now

Oh lol . I think Carquest was advance auto part house brand . Not a bad oil
Yea, Fram is their house brand now, for some reason Fram and AAP seem to have teamed up, they're rebranded the CQ oils and fluids to Fram and AAP has their own exclusive line of Fram oil filters, although they're really about the same filters as you get elsewhere just the AAP filters have a different tapping plate with some tear drop shaped whole do to some marketing wank about improved flow or something and the whole can is painted with grippy paint not just the end.

For the Benz: 229.5 oil Pennzoil 5w40 on sale cost me $36 each plus $17 for a man fleece filter. So about $90 rounded up.

For the Toyota: $36 Pennzoil Plat HM on sale plus $12 for Napa Gold/Fram TG. $48 total.

For the Nissan: Pennzoil Plat Ultra at $36 plus $15 for Fram Ultra. $51 total

All prices in CAD. Was sick and tired of getting ripped off at the dealerships the mark ups are pathetic. Looking to try M1 for all the cars next up change. I’d love to try Purolator oil filters but they’re hard to find and pretty expensive off Amazon. Guess I’ll stick to Napa/Fram.

Also like to add Gumout or STP fuel cleaner in the gas tank after each annual change just for extra assurance.

I don't know any shop that stocks M1HMEP and have no idea how much someone might be charged for this service. "Way too much" is as close as I can get LOL. Like others, I do $20 full synthetic oil/filter changes that can go 7500 miles / 1 year.

I'm still using 20L of genuine MB 229.5 bought very cheaply from a Mercedes dealer online for £45 a couple of years back. With filter an oil change costs me £15 or approx. $20.

These days an Oil stash is way better than money in the bank.
