Time for yearly oil change. I checked records and July is the last oil change with 0w20. I know the Pentastar does care however now that I am down to 5qts of Valvoline High Milage 5w20 and Shell gas truck 0w20 qt. I will be changing up to 5w30 after this oil change so what would you do. Get a 5qt of Valvoline Advance 5w30 for the 1 qt, Valvoline 5w30 plus take a qt from the high mileage or use 5w20 high mileage and Shell Gas truck 0w20. Either way without buy a quart of oil. Reason for the change is all lawn equipment is 5w30 so this makes it easier. Besides all the family vehicles (4) take 5w30.

My 2014 Caravan is going on 1.5 years on Castrol Magnatec 0w20 and maybe 600 whole miles, no plans to change it for another year unless i'm bored.
The only negative side to your Plan is living near the Texas Gulf, which may slowly create high salt/sodium-inducted hypertension inside your engine.

Have Blackstone check for that. In the meantime, buy a salt-blocking air filter..... cabin too. :cautious:

Use Mobil 1 EP HM 0w20 only. Extend OCI to 15k miles, or every 2.5 years. You're living in 2024, enjoy the progress!

I could do that as oil change light goes off at or around 10k. I still haven't change yet cause it still looks good, I know you can't tell by color, however I was changing my Saturn at 5k which was 18 months. I will be using Valvoline from here out however, nothing wrong with Mobil 1.

By 8 months in my 2017 Sonata 2.4L GDI engine , I could smell fuel dilution on the dipstick, so time to change the oil (1260 miles on this OCI) . *It was the right move as when I changed the oil the fuel smell in the oil draining out was pretty strong . For mostly suburban , shorter trip driving - this engine will see OCI's of 3500 miles / 6 months max using M1 5W30 synthetic oil.
