Presidents Day Sale???

Is anyone aware of any Presidents Day Sale coming up at Discount Tire Direct(DTD)?

My BIL is in need of tires and I have found a good deal in his size on Pirelli P7 A/S Plus which is $97 better than DTD right now(shipped) on 4 tires. But, he can wait a week if there is going to be a better price anywhere.

Does DTD usually run a Presidents Day Sale?
I have cought several other holiday sales at DTD in the past which(Memorial Day/4th of July/Black Friday), were very good! Never on Presidents Day!

On these particular tires(Pirelli Cinterano P7 A/S Plus...any size), Treadepot was still cheaper by $17.00(even w/shipping) and we didn't have to fool around with DTD PPGC or open up a CC. Even if we'd done all that with DTD, their price was still higher.

I haven't been impressed lately with the offers from DTD on their Holiday Specials though, I have taken advantage of them in the past with great success.

DTD pricing is kind of like going to the flea market. its the starting point.

They would pricematch treaddepot's total shipped price

and still you get the rebate.

These tires were for my BIL/SIL and they didn't want to fool around with extra rebates. Treadepot has a $70 instant rebate on the P7's(all Pirelli tires) which brought the price down to my families sastisfactory.

They said that they've never gotten tires this cheap...EVER!... Especially a tire such as a Pirelli or any high rated tire as they have Mastercraft tires now and hate'em!

They usually buy tires that the tires store sells'em. "Round, Black & Cheap!" This is a bonus for them. I have tried in the past to let me help them buy tires but...

If DTD would have price matched these P7's, my family would have gotten the tires for $269.08. This is something that I'll have to call DTD on and maybe I'll do this for myself since I have an active DTD CC.

CORRECTION!

I just called DTD and the only way that they will match the OTD price of another competitor is with all discounts applied(Pre Paid GC). And they will only match, not beat the price.

OH, maybe they'd beat the OTD price a little but, DTD's OTD pricing is with all discounts included, not "Ontop of" the OTD pricing of another competitor.

So, the best DTD will do is match other competitors(or beat, IDK) pricing - OTD!...shipped to your ZIP CODE!

also you have to be a good negotiator at the flea market ;P
