Harbor Freight's Spring Black Friday Sale starts today for Inside Track Club (ITC) members. I have my eyes on a couple of things. First is the Icon 9" long-nose, slip-joint pliers. I just don't have an anything like it in my toolbox.

After having swapped out the all season wheels/tires for the winter set a few times, I realized just how much my age has caught up to me, so I'm buying this self-loading wheel dolly. Designed for moving cars around, I thought it would work good for lifting and positioning wheels so I don't have to do the heavy lifting. Watched several YT videos where they have been used exactly for this purpose. Regular price is $130, on sale for $80.

Do you have any HF tools you've been waiting for this sale to buy?

I need another floor jack, the low profile / long reach version looks good.
Had I not just bought the 3-ton, low profile a few weeks ago, I would have snagged on. Probably best, as the one I got weighs ~80lbs vs ~100 lbs for the long-reach.

They only had one dolly in stock, but I was there first and all I needed. They only had one Icon 9" long-nose, slip-joint pliers in stock, and the guy in front of me grabbed it. I got a couple other pliers.

I picked up a few flashlights, including a couple of the 750 lumen, magnetic ones. Also picked up five 6" magnetic parts' holders. Great for dropping the lug nuts into when swapping out the tires. Got an extractor set... just because. Still got out for just over $200. I call that a win.

While at the store, I was talking with the manager. He said they have several agencies providing roadside assistance who buy the aluminum jacks due to their lighter weight. They beat the heck out of them, then swap under warranty if needed.

I've seen several YT videos where many tire shop use the heavier duty HF jacks for the same reason. They take a lot of abuse, but easily exchanged under warranty if needed.

I'd be hitting the sale this week if I really needed anything, but I don't. I'm trying to be more frugal lately.
My wife retired the end of 2025, so I've been better about buying whatever, but my tired, old body really needed the ratcheting dolly to help with swapping wheels/tires, which I do several times a year (too warm in central Texas to keep winter tires on except for our trips to Wisconsin when there's a chance of snow/ice). I should have just walked in, got the one thing I needed, and went straight to the register. Still didn't do too badly compared to other big HF sales.

The retailers have got your number -- they put the milk in the far back corner of the store for a reason ;)

The store showed this item In Stock. I went straight for it when the doors opened, and they had one. Glad I was able to snag it, though I didn't see any others making furtive moves towards it. Put the wheels on it last night (the only assembly required). It's very heavy duty, but still weighs much less than the tire/wheel assembly... and it has a handle.

That dolly would work better for installing large wheels/tires that trying to move a vehicle - unless it’s on a gym floor 😷

Totally agree. That's the only planned usage I have at this time. Unfortunately, the amount of tires/wheels that fall into my large category is growing exponentially as I get older.

Well, another item I picked up yesterday was the Icon 15-piece MultiSpline Extractor Set. Just opened it up and it only has 14 bits. It's missing the smallest. Now I have to go back to HF for an exchange. Darn them!

Hercules 12v batteries even tho I only have 2 tools in that lineup. They rarely go on sale and they are apparently expanding. Some braun lights like the slim head lamp...waiting for Friday my ITC expired in December

Got 3 12v Hercules batteries, some gloves, and the smaller ICON light.

Hopefully their new 12v ratchets and impact hit the market soon.

Today I picked up two of the Braun 750 lumen magnetic puck flood lights. I'm a sucker for relatively inexpensive lights!
I picked up two last week. Absolutely love them. Also got the 800 lumen foldable, a smaller cousin to the 2100 lumen foldable I got a few months ago.

Hi. My name is rstcso... and I'm a flashlight buy-aholic.

Picked up the Icon screw extractor set (supposed to be $25 on sale, rang up as $11 - no complaints from me!) and a 25’ tape measure for $2 lol.

The Braun lights are really quite nice for the price.
