with my bad back, lately I have hesitated taking on jobs that involve removing the wheels. Well I was contemplating changing the brakes on my 2018 Traverse and was dreading the lift of those 20" wheels. (especially for putting them back on) So i did some searching, and ended up buying a wheel dolly (there are wheel lift tools specifically for lifting wheels, I opted for the dolly because of the higher wheel weight). The dolly i purchased (from Harbor Freight) has a mechanical ratchet and is designed to lift the car (one for each wheel) so you can move a car around by just pushing it around. But, if you just want to use it for wheel removal/replacement, you jack up the car, slide the dolly under the wheel, jack it up to take the weight, and then just roll the wheel back. When you want to put the wheel back, you roll the dolly up to the hub and slide the wheel back through the lugs..game changer! The removed wheel assembly sits on rollers so you can spin the wheel if the lugs get misaligned.
No more lifting heavy wheels and trying to get them back on the lugs!! I changed the brakes on all 4 corners of the car and never put any effort into lifting or moving the wheels.
And yes, I have my suspicious eye on the Harbor Freight product, but I figured if it's rated for 1300lbs it is probably good for a wheel/tire. It seems well built and sturdy, but there are other brands if you prefer.

I was going through the same thing with swapping to/from winter wheels/tires, as well as working on our daughter's car. Just bought one of these wheel dollies from Harbor Freight. Should have done so a long time ago. I got mine during their latest sale for $80. If you're an Inside Track Club member, you'll get early access to deals. This goes on sale often, so if you don't need it immediately, the price will drop to ~$100 or so fairly regularly. But if you need it now, totally worth the money. Wish I'd had it this past year.

100% worth it! I pulled a wheel off my daughter's car just to test it. Lowered the dolly and repositioned the wheel so I actually had to try a bit. Went right on with minimal effort. The previous weekend I'd done a brake job on this car, and even as light as those wheels are compared to the 20" wheels on the Pilot, it took more effort than expected to put them back on at the end of the day. Not any more.
