I use Seafoam if I am looking to clean. I add about 1oz for every Quart of Oil. I leave it in for about 500 miles. Then change the oil. Seems to work ok.

My dad was a mechanic for 30+ years and he said they used diesel fuel all the time to clean out sludged up motors.quote:

What about the Japanese Americans. Particulary the remaining older ones who were US citizens but became involuntary guests of the US gumnt in WWII.quote:

I don't approve of this sort of ugliness from anyone. Those folks endured a horrific injustice. I was thinking more of contemporary Japan. I'm no scholar of that society, but I did live there for about 18 months. There's plenty of good there, and I met many wonderful Japanese. Ironically though, that society does have a racist streak in it. But it's not affirmative evil as we think of racism. It's just, IMO, a product of growing up in a place where virtually everyone has black hair, brown eyes, and similar-colored skin. If you ever want to feel stared at or unwelcome, find a six-foot-two, blonde haired, blue eyed American and walk the streets of Hiroshima with him (I've done that). BTW, at 6' and with auburn hair, I don't look much less alien than my friend did, but I certainly couldn't disappear into any crowds.quote:
