I've read PCMO's have a shelf life of 3-5 years. Draining out that SSO already?

Nah, syns last a LONG time.

Older stuff 'might' actually be 'better' as it may be EOP as opposed to group III.......

This PP is oil I bought for $1/qt Home depot last year, and I was thinking of using it my wife's Liberty.

Still have SSO in the vette. I'm going to leave it in for now and hope for the best.

No problem.

But if it was me(I am very anal)
I would go buy new quarts of PP at a store, then return the old bottles with the new reciept!

HEY, I said I was anal!

Why should the next person who wants to buy oil deal with your "older" oil.

With that out of the way...

I've used oil that is 5,6, 7 years old with no problems. Some have had UOAs and everything was just fine.

Take care, Bill

Tell the store, you bought this oil, and you read the back on the way home, it said it was made almost 4 years ago.

its up to the retailer to do whats right then, and out of your hands.

This is earth, only the strong servive.

You don't get it.

If being "strong" is being dishonest. OK...

I'll survive just fine.

hey, look how honest the government is, seems to suit them well!!!!!

all kidding aside, yes, i would use old stuff if I had to, but new stuff gives you that warm fuzzy feeling inside!!!!!

dont store oil in a cold place, i guess the additives will separate...and if i screw the next guy on the old oil i sleazily returned to the store, well that is the american way
