Power Stroke 2700 PSI Pressure Washer

Anyone here have any experience with this washer and the 190cc Subaru engine? I'm looking to pick one up for light use around the house - patio, stamped concrete, siding, etc... They get decent reviews, and apparently also come with a Honda engine.

I don't need a full monty washer and prefer gas over electric.

It will be a good engine and cheap pump. Keep from freezing and running less than a minute with engine running & trigger not pressed and you may get 50 hours.

The Subaru Robin engine on my generator performs very well.

Yep. Product subscription states "commercial grade 189cc OHC Subaru EA 190V engine", so don't think it's a Subaru Robins. Costco has the same washer with a Honda 190cc engine for the same price.

The problem will be the pump , not the engine. I have heard over and over about the cheap pumps lasting only 50- 100 hours. Its easy to put 20 hours a summer on a unit doing your home and patios. Look for pumps made by Comet, AR, Cat.

Very true.
I use pump lubrication after every time I use my PW. I would do this no matter what pump I had.

Avoid AT ALL COST. If you like banging your head against a concrete post, why didn't you just say so?

That engine is a lawn mower engine. Vertical shaft pumps, all of them, suck, and all of them are rated for 50 hours. That engine is a bear to start, and an even bigger bear to keep running longer than a year or two without significant carb adjustments.

To be 100% honest here, I can't think of a worse gas powered pressure washer on the market than the unit you are thinking of buying.

I was the go to pressure washer repair guy in my town and I've repaired hundreds of them. You want a horizontal pump with a Honda GX200 engine or GX200 clone engine. They are good on fuel, extremely durable, and parts are so plentiful and cheap. You can get a factory Honda carburetor for $15 or a factory Subaru carburetor for $115. Which would you prefer?
