Sorry for replying late, just got in from Hospital getting another lumbar disc replacement. Had one done in 2020 also. I was 5'9", now I'm 5'6"., in a span of 5 years. All my discs are degenerating and full of arthritis. I'll be 59 in Jan. Takes a full year for replacement disc to " fuse" to spinal vertebrae., So, no more heavy work for 1 yr. Then another will disintegrate and need replacing. The " Dominoes Effect " they call it. So, I kinda know what you're going through. But, it sounds like you were injured young, and that's really sad and depressing to say the least
....I feel for you dude. Give you credit for being upbeat about it. You have a great outlook on what happened to you
Keep it up. Don't let it ever get to you, or you're finished. Better outlook than I have, that's for sure. Sometimes I'll look at a job, like a tranny swap out, knowing how many I did, and now knowing I can't physically do them any longer. I will sit on my rolling tool stool and start crying. So, the big jobs get contracted out to a local shop, and I'll supply all needed parts & fluids to avoid mark ups. Just pay for labor... Totally sux
You're cousin sounds like a real stand up guy. Hope you two stay tight forever
