Post your motorcycles gas mileage

2006 Vstar 1100 classic. Pod filters, cams, exhaust, ignition...started keeping track of every fill up for the last ~2000 miles and I have gotten 42-43 Mpg consistently.

Yes, they are great! I think the CTX is super-comfy, too. They've moved to 750cc almost everywhere but here, now. Even Canada gets the NC750.
 
08 Suzuki DL650 Vstrom, avg. 50-55mpg. I'm not heavy and don't ride fast. Although this seems good, think about it. This thing weighs about 450lbs and an average car about 3000lbs. A honda fit that gets about 40mpg,
when not pushed hard, and weighs about 2500lbs. In the end it seems like the Vstrom really should get much better mpg. Motorcyles in General should get much better mileage. And I know there is a big mpg penalty for lack aero on the motorcycle. Just thinking of power to weight.

Not being defensive (honestly), but why did my Ruckus give you a chuckle?

A bright yellow custom 50cc scooter! It's just a fun thing to see. Not my taste, but as long as you're happy and riding safely, good for you. I bet it makes quite a sound with no muffler. Oddly enough, there's a similar tricked out 50cc Ruckus not too far from me in the little village of Massena, NY. I think it's red or purple with a ton of chrome.

My 2011 Suzuki DL-650 gets about the same. Like you I'd expect more from Motorcycles in general also. I think it is down to aero efficiency really. First real surprise was how the mileage drops heading into wind at Interstate speeds 75mph+ and seeing mileage drop to mid 30's. Little scary seeing fuel gauge drop and not knowing where the next gas station is. Sometimes they are few and far between here in the desert Southwest.

2011 Triumph Speedmaster 865cc- 58mpg stock, 53mpg now with aftermarket exhaust, K&N filter, better ECM tune, and removal of SAI system.

2006 Yamaha Virago 250- 70mpg stock, but with a gearing change I got 85mpg regularly on the backroads.
 
Sig scoot: usually 55-58MPG, 87-octane.
Liz's Hyosung Comet: mid-60's, best tank of 70.6, pump 93.

Worst was just under 53, on a highway run with 2 Goldwings, a 1500 Victory, a BMW touring bike, and an Ultra Classic...the dude leading was on an ST1100, and he was setting a VERY fast pace.
 
2012 Suzuki V-Strom 650, 90 degree v-twin, 6 speed, chain drive, always run with the Givi Maxia 55 top box. 65 hp, 42 lb·ft torque, 430 lbs dry, 470 lb with coolant, oil and full tank of 87 octane gas. Rider is just a bit above 210 lb with all the gear on.

For normal riding my average moves between 57 mpg in cold weather and 62 mpg in hot weather. Best ever has been 67 mpg in hot weather on country highways riding a relaxed 40 - 60 mph, worst has been riding low 50°F range into a 15-20mph headwind at 80 mph, mileage went down to 45.5 mpg.

I have run 320:1 MMO and 640:1 Motul Powerjet TC-W3 in the gas, but I don't think it affects the mileage. Now on my 2nd OCI of Motul 300V 4T 10W-40, and I think it's had a very small improvement on mileage, probably due to it's relatively low 12.15 cSt 100°C temp viscosity. On the other hand, it seems to take a little longer to fully warm up and get to the best mpg's, maybe owing to its better heat transfer ability or its higher density than Group I - IV base oils.
 
1995 Harley EG Ultra, Two up yesterday rode 215 miles round trip to Sparta, N.C. elevation 3,000 feet, temp 77 degrees and averaged 45.5 mpg. It was the coolest 4th of July I can remember. Harley ran great and beautiful mountain scenery as well. Crossed under the Blue Ridge Parkway but was pressed for time and didn't ride on it. We'll probably ride a portion of the Parkway in a couple of weeks.

1994 HD Sportster. Stock intake, exhaust, engine. 55mpg average in warm condition with ethanol fuel. Same conditions 58.2mpg with non-ethanol fuel. No wind 86 degrees.
