post your latest transmission lubricant change.

I wish so badly the ZF8 speeds used red ATF... I would 100% be using the Valvoline Restore and Protect in it while under warranty. The green tint handcuffs me.
How long does it take for the tint to go away? Nissan uses a blue tint on their CVT fluid, but it's golden in 1000 miles or so.

You know that’s a good point.. but if you did have issues after a spill/fill and took in for diag they probably would notice the tint since there wouldn’t be that many miles on the fresh fill.

Interesting choice given how long you've been around here
Triax hate is overblown. The reviews for this CVT fluid on Amazon (including specifically for my application) were stellar. I can confirm that after driving 80 miles yesterday, takeoff and heavy throttle "shifts" feel smoother than before. Also, the fluid was green in color for those who wonder. The Aisin fluid is blue.

Just a data point for Amazon reviews:
I wouldn’t trust them overall as they can be easily faked. Fakespot is a good way to see if they’re bot heavy or have traits of being fluffed up. HTH

I don’t know anything ab triax fluid specifically. I just wanted to pass along that a lot of those reviews are fake. Just like their auto parts.

I doubt many people writing reviews on Amazon know anything about the fluids they are reviewing.

It may be overblown here. It's well liked on various truck forums from pickups to tractor trailers.
Here it's not disliked by any failures anyone ever documented, it's because of the conflicting or not possible "recommended for" that Triax has on their documentations. I.E. It can't meet a High SAPS and a Low SAPS rating at the same time and it can't 229.5 or C3 with a HTHS of 3.2.

When you can’t trust what’s in the bottle it’s a big problem, a very big problem. Blender is being sued for false approvals and specs on their labels. John Deere hydraulic systems were damaged in some cases. As @CleanSump mentioned above we have found multiple engine oil approvals printed on labels that are not possible together.

2001 Silverado 4L60 with 142k miles. Did a 5 qt oil change from transmission pan drain plug a few weeks ago. I did another oil change via the transmission pan drain plug the other day, this time 5.5 qts, ( I let it sit without the drain plug in for about a week to try and get as much fluid out). I’ll do it again one more time before dropping the pan and changing the transmission filter.

I’m using Valvoline Maxlife.

I did a drained and filled on my 2013 scion xd with 89k miles. 3 quarts out 3 quarts in using oem toyota ws transmission fluid. On this drain I noticed the fluid was a bit thicker than the last drained 30k miles before.

This spring's lube changes:

2017 Macan: 4 liters of Redline MTL into the gearbox/diff section of the PDK transmission. Drain and fill.
2015 F150: replaced the pan with a dorman one with a drain plug, new filter and 8 liters of Mercon LV.
2005 Sienna: 5 liters of T-IV into the 5 speed. Drain and fill.
2013 CX-5: 1.7 liters of Redline MTL into the 6 speed manual. Drain and fill.
