post your latest transmission lubricant change.

2015 Lexus RX350, 190,800 miles

Dropped the transmission pan, removed filter, cleaned pan, new gasket, filter and ~4 quarts of Amsoil OE Transmission fluid. Heated up to 113°F, and opened the check plug to drain out excess.

This is probably the last transmission service I will do on this vehicle until about 250k miles. This is the 3rd service I've done on it since I bought it at 162k. I'm unsure if it had ever had a service prior, the fluid did not look bad at all, but there is no record of it being performed.

05' Accord APG6 5 speed manual. Used 2QTs of GM/AC Delco Synchromesh Friction Modified (10-4014) because I felt some of the synchronizers are becoming worn. Totally stopped the occasional 1 to 2 grinding but I think a lot of the grinding I attribute to worn synchros is probably due to stretched shifter cables not being able to get it positively into gear in some instances. I can't really report more until I change the cables which are on back order.

FWIW, old fluid looked brand new at 230k miles. First change since I bought it back at 67k miles.

Changed the tranny fluid on our 2011 Civic EX-L with the 5 speed auto.
Did 3 spill and fills with Honda DW-1, and replaced the filter with a new filter from Honda. The car has 123,688 miles.

2014 Audi S4 Dsg

Out: Whatever was in it and around it due to a failed gasket.

In: Febi DSG fluid, Audi OEM external and internal filter as well as new gasket.

2013 Bmw X5 35i xdrive 117,500 miles
Drained out OEM ZF Lifeguard 8 fluid and dropped pan
Installed new ZF pan w/filter
Filled with 5.7 qts HPL Green Cold Climate ATF

Just got back from a 2900 mile road trip. Transmission had a bit of a hesitation from a dead stop before fully engaging. That problem is gone with new fluid and it shifts smoother as well.

2007 Honda Ridgeline RTS
102,530 miles
Change interval: 9 years and 40,600 miles (last was a full fluid exchange by Priority Honda)
DIY drain and fill with 3.5 qts of Aisin DW-1 fluid

I also tried to do the rear differential, but even using an 18 inch breaker bar, the fill plug was frozen (thank you Priority Honda). I'll have to get my indie shop to crack both plugs next month during my state inspection so I can resume the process.

How did you determine which fluid to use? The local dealer hasn't been any help for my BMW and insists the ATF doesn't need to be changed.

Dump and fill on X3 with 4 quarts of Valvoline Dexron VI and 1 quart of Maxlife. 2,400 miles since last change.
Did a full filter and fill back in April with 6 quarts of Valvoline Dexron VI and it's already turned a bit brownish mixing with what was left in the TC and cooler lines. 125k miles on vehicle at that filter change.
All in my head, seat of the pants, placebo affect, acecdote is that I will sleep well tonight.

2012 Kia Forte Koup 2.4L SX 6MT: a few thousand miles on this run of manual transmission fluid (Redline MT-85) This first change was a "flush" to clean out the transmission of all the old fluid.
Out: Redline MT-85 GL-4 1.9 QTS
In: Redline MT-85 GL-4 1.9 QTS
Cleaned magnet
This fluid came out the same color in went in with just a spec of black on the magnet. I will not be changing again anytime soon.. It feels just about the same, maybe a tick better "feel"

It is this forum that showed me how easy it is to do a transmission drain and fill, even at the age of 71.
