Wow, talk about a step up

It’s beautifully warm here in Central Iowa today.

I don’t recall when I changed the oil in my snow blower or my generator, so i did both today.

I use Royal Purple only because I can see it on the dipstick, whereas Valvoline is too clear for my weak eyes.

The one quart took care of both machines.

Took a break from the family to go get some me time in the garage.

Merry Christmas bitogers.

Out: unknown. Whatever oil I had on hand last season.

I wanted some garage time today so the auction find Honda EX 800 generator got the once over. I had it running before but the governor wouldn't respond. Pulled the carb and repaired the binding throttle shaft. Ran it on a 600w load for a while and adjusted the frequency then gave it an oil change. Out old who knows what and whatever I topped it with to fire it up initially last year. In, auction score oil, Love's brand 5W-30. SN plus/ SP rated for less than a buck a quart. Looks to be a Citgo made product. Reviving this beastie has been enough fun to be well worth the purchase price.
