Your oil choice is awesome for that generator engine. My only worry might be on the cold end.

Cold end? I ain't camping in the snow - I may run the genset a few times this fall as I get it winterized, but not much more until spring.

Location: NORTHERN ALBERTA
Gen: 4000 watt with a small starter and small battery
Oil winter rating 10W. It probably would do OK, maybe crank a little slow.

On the other hand, NOW I know you camp in Alberta winter in BC. Gen won't be started in the frigid outback. Should be perfect.
