Post your latest oil change

2021 Subaru Ascent - ran 0W-20 until out of warranty then switched to Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 0W-20, then Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5W-30, then back to Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 0W-20 (I had an extra job), then Mobil 1 ESP 0W-30. Can't tell any difference - except MAYBE the Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5W-30 was a bit quieter on cold start. Florida.

Car is still on the Ramps for now, getting through the oil change was about all the back could take right now.
Nowadays I use the MityVac and swap the filter every 2nd service. Easy peasey.

Sorry no pictures this round, semi time crunch to beat the rain. Daughters boyfriends car and he wanted to learn and try it so also slower for teaching.

2021 Sonata, 2.5L Smartstream, 97k miles, 5200 miles on oil. 3rd oil change with Valvoline Restore and Protect. Dipstick showed full still before I drained it, no oil added, no detected fuel smell. Filter looked great, straight pleats, no junk in pleats even when cut open and pulled further apart.

Out - 6.2 qts of Valvoline Restore and Protect 0W-20 and Carquest Premium 95329.
In - Same - 6.2 qts of Valvoline Restore and Protect 0W-20 and Carquest Premium 95329.

He does need to get the oil pan resealed some day as it's getting things messy.

I have used impacts on drain bolts too, I am sure that upsets the keyboard commando’s.
I haven't done that........yet. I recall watching the YouTube video of Watch JR Go with BG Dynamic where he used the longer reach electric ratchet so he could remove since it was right after like 30 minutes of high RPM to be drained. Spun it out quickly and kept his fingers away from the heat.

I use my impact on the Jeep Renegade Trailhawk just for the skid plate. There are 3 different types of screws/bolts, 14 total holding that up. It is a pretty heavy actual steel plate.

Worst I had was a Fusion Hybrid - looked like a kitchen table - gave it good lube and 10k …
All of mine are way more thoughtful now …

That's a lot of work just for an oil change! Definitely an argument for filter relocation and a Fumoto valve coupled to a hose...
