Post your latest oil change

Big mistake. ☝️:)
Those are not enough miles for VRP to clean, especially if the engine is grave dirty.
As I said above, I don’t believe it was dirty. I simply wanted to see if there’d be anything in the filter after a few OCIs. It wasn’t using oil, and there was nothing obvious under the valve cover. When I saw nothing in the filter pleats after 12k, I decided to go with a cheaper oil and use the VRP in the wife’s 2AR-FXE.

It generally dissolves the deposits and holds them in the oil. Even some people with very high rates of oil burning (3 quarts in 5k), resolved their oil burning back to zero and never saw anything in their filters. Some people see deposits in very neglected engines.

Ford sucks when it comes to keeping their owners manuals updated when the vehicle changes. You got the redesigned 2.3L which got installed in the 2025 Rangers going forward. Prior Gen 2.3L got the FL-910S.

I went through something similar in my Wife's 2022 Bronco Sport when they changed the 1.5L oil pan from steel to plastic and increased the oil quantity but kept the old values in the owners manual.
Thank You

2007 Ford F-350 105,024 miles, 100,343 at last change
Out: Mobil Delvac ESP 5W40, FL-2016
In: Shell Rotella T6 5W40, FL-2016

Also changed the Wix 24070 coolant filter and 3C3Z-9N184-CB fuel filter kit.

No bath in diesel this time because I actually drained the housing this time. Also changed out the factory drain with the LCF drain p/n 6E7Z-9C082-A. It has a knurled end on it, so no fighting to get a 6mm hex in there against the front driveshaft.
