Some twisting occurs when tightening or loosening the cap. Doesn't matter if not ripping the filter and almost unavoidable. Some aftermarket filters are a hair too long for German engines so show a little bending of the folds. This has proven to be a problem, especially with K&N being too long and collapsing the folds on themselves.Yes, a little bit. It wasn’t concerning though
Thanks for sharing that. I think the Baldwin filter I put in was a smidge longer than the Hengst filter I also had available. I'll keep an eye out for that...Some twisting occurs when tightening or loosening the cap. Doesn't matter if not ripping the filter and almost unavoidable. Great move imo. Amsoil SS is good hooch and your V8 says “thanks”!First change on my new to me 2012 Nissan Armada. 192,003 miles on the vehicle, unknown number of miles on the oil.
Out: unknown oil flushed with Amsoil Engine Flush for 15 minutes
In: About 6.5 quarts of Amsoil Signature Series 0W-30

If you hear any undesirable clatter, I can assure you that the SS 5W30 will be more pleasant. Going into winter, this is a good combo. Did the flush bring out any nastyFirst change on my new to me 2012 Nissan Armada. 192,003 miles on the vehicle, unknown number of miles on the oil.

No clatter, sounds good from the short bit that I ran it after changing it. Went with 0W-30 because I want that for winter and this doesn’t see enough miles for me to know if I will be changing it before then.If you hear any undesirable clatter, I can assure you that the SS 5W30 will be more pleasant. Good move on 5w30Changed the oil for the first time since purchasing the 2023 Ford Explorer with 2.3L.
I used Amsoil SS 5w30 and car quest premium filter. Cleaned all those leaves out too
