Here’s my spring oil change for the Subaru. I have several quarts of Amsoil XL 10w30 I’m burning through from a cheap market place haul. I’m still using smaller filter too with slightly lower bypass psi Got 4 left to burn before going to proper size. 6 pack price on eBay to hard to pass up.

Zero oil burn. In fact I’d say oil level rises 2-3mm from fuel. Once my XL stash burns up next year it’s going over to Amsoil Signature 0w40. I can then probably do once a year 6-8k changes. Let’s see.

Are you burning any oil?

Still using some, but it has slowed down significantly. Over 8000 mi. it has gone from about a qt. in 1200 miles to a qt. in 2000. That is a tight estimation. Hoping for better results to come.

Its my aunts car, no idea I just change the oil and send it on its way. She calls me every 5k when the light goes off, she stays on top of maintenance and puts 5k quickly, every 2 months.

2025 Sonata Hybrid:

Done with the early oil change flush of SuperTech after factory fill.

This will stay in until 5000 miles.

Pennzoil Platinum 0W-20
Carquest Premium 95332

Manual calls for 0W-16. I will be using both without concern.

Incidentally, just noticed Pennzoil Platinum is using a foil seal. Sorry if I'm late to the game...

I think it'll continue to improve. That engine benefits from 5W-30 too, so nice job going up a grade.
