My neighbor noticed I was kind of struggling on my oil change. I'm quite elderly with some physical problems that slow me down a bit. The neighbor insisted that I allow him to do the change himself. I declined his offer and he offered to take the car to a dealer and pay for this himself. I finally convinced him that I do not give in to age and other problems and that I VERY MUCH desire to do this as long as I can. I've learned that doing it myself is really the only way I can be absolutely sure of what goes into my car. I want only the best and besides, I actually enjoy doing this myself and I'll do it as long as I can.
My hero!! Keep it up.

Out: Mobil 1 0W-20 EP Honda 15400-PLM-A02 filter
In: Amsoil Signature 0w20, Mobil 1 M110a (Warren Group Vietnam)

This is my official change to Amsoil in this vehicle, hoping Amsoil gets their filter issues worked out
Had ordered Amsoil EA15K13, but based on reports here, this Champion-made filter has had some real quality issues, not comfortable using it at this time.

First oil and filter change since we purchased in November 2025. I plan to run HPL for 6k with filter changes and top offs every 2k. This is a one owner car that had 41 full synthetic oil changes in 112k. I suspect the engine is quite clean.

When the filters are clean I plan to run HPL Euro 0W-30 at 10k OCIs.

nice ride. The old man in me can't believe a 2004 qualifies as "classic vehicle" remembering clear as day when they were new.

Same here. Always think it's 25 years, yet in CT it's 20 years.
Fellow classiccarist with a plate starting in 01.

I might have commented on these plates in my "It's not an L !" Thread.

The hidden gem is that with a classic plate we can also apply for a YOM plate.

@gasman556 @goblin

20 years here. One of the very tax breaks in Connecticut.
Yep, surely a plus when you pay taxes on a car :) . One of the things I discovered when moving.
Here's the thread about my plate adventure:

I since got my YOM PLATE, so the classic one is staying put in its pouch in the trunk.
