Post your latest oil change

any issue with oil leakage using copper washer?
As painful as it is to remove, the factory felt-like coated washer does an excellent job at preventing oil leak.
I would continue using the factory washer. It is aluminum and it is softer than copper so it seals better. I have no issue getting stuck ones off. Just a flick of a small screwdriver and it pops right off.

Now on the 3rd OCI of restore and protect. On this last OCI, consumption dropped (didn’t have to add any make up oil especially towards the end of OCI, 3500<)but it’s still too early, in my opinion, to be completely sure. Otherwise, I’ve been satisfied with the performance of this oil in this particular car

OUT: factory fill

OEM filter left and magnets applied. My plan is to leave the filter for another couple quick drain and fills and do a C&P on the filter for education of the BITOG hive mind. Oil looked bad coming out.

2021 Toyota RAV4 2.5 I4. Gasoline not hybrid. 60,056 miles. Roughly 3,000 on oil as they did an oil change when it was traded in but I wanted to go ahead and do it while I took the under cover off. Did the 60K service on it which also included a transfer case service. Didn’t do tire rotation as I just put tires on it about 800 miles ago so I’ll just rotate them at 65k when I do the next oil change. I only did this service at work because of the transfer case and because it’s cold as heck outside lol. Normally I’d do everything at home.

Out: unknown I bought the car in October and it’s the oil that was in there from my dealership probably bulk Pennzoil or Toyota.
Off: Toyota YZZN1
In: 5 quarts Pennzoil Platinum 0W16
On: Toyota YZZN1

The choices for 0W-16 were limited to Pennzoil, Mobil 1 or Toyota. I wanted Castrol or Valvoline but guess I have to wait for those to be more widely available to get.

Honestly I love my car though and I want to take care of it. All I need to do now is wash it once all the salt wears off the road and once it gets a little warmer.

Isn’t there a wash bay at your dealership that the detailing department uses? My son is a detailer at a GM dealership here and even when the roads are salty in the winter he still washes his truck almost every single day in that wash bay since it’s nice and warm in there 😃

There is but I don’t trust any of the detail guys haha. They all drive like mainiacs and fly through the parking lot. And since it’s in a different building I can’t do it on my own unfortunately and the boss over there is very strict.
