2025, 2-weeks old Kia Sportage Hybrid (1.6).

500 miles on it.
Out - whatever came from the factory.
In - whatever Semi Synthetic Valvoline my local Valvoline guys had.

They looked and huffed and puffed and asked ten times whether I was sure I wanted to change it. The oil was - errr - new.
I insisted.
Next change - in another 500 or 1000 miles, whenever I manage to snatch the car from the kid. Will then decide on what to feed it on. Probably - Amsoil, or if I have enough self-discipline to recover the used oil and bring it back to FCP Euro afterwards - RedLine or Motul from FCP Euro.

Not necessary. Have a read of the forum. But if it helps you sleep….

You're likely right. However, I now have semi-synthetic in it, and it will be helping me sleep to get it out soon 😊

Might be last time running Valvoline Restore and Protect in this engine. It doesn’t really consume oil. Plus, the Valvoline Restore and Protect was considerably more expensive (couple bucks more) than other oil on the Walmart shelf that was rollbacked. Side note: the Denso FTF air filter gasket/seal was pinched and I hope it didn’t let much crap in…

Wheel Works (Firestone) told her it needed brakes and shock/struts
I bought pads and rotors from RA. Pulled the wheel; pads are at 50% easily. Even the slider pins moved like new. Sheesh.
These Premium Guard filters are pretty nice. Red seal and all!
