I found some yuck in the filter. At first I thought it was carbon, but it’s spongy. I can’t figure out what that would be.

I also changed the engine mounts to clear up a vibration.

2010 Nissan Cube, 124,710 miles.

Out: Kirkland Signature 5w-30, Denso filter.
In: Kirkland Signature 5w-30, cheapest Super Tech filter available, 4 3/8 quarts.

Car is starting to burn about half a quart every 3,000, having to monitor it a bit more closely.

I’m really really interested in R&P. Maybe once I use up my Kirkland Signature stock.
Yeah definitely don’t see any reason not too. With the PayPal/Venmo 5$ rebate it’s priced right with edge at Walmart.

I didn’t have any oil burning issues but with the somewhat unknown history it could only help so I’ll see if i notice any difference in operation through this oci

Changed oil in my 18 Legacy a few weeks late but like 21 miles over what I was aiming for. I know, I know... Not a big deal.

65,443 miles on car. 78k/month Service Interval.
6,021 miles on OC.
Out/Off: ~4.5qts of M1 EP 0W-20 D1G2 and Wix 57055
In/On: 5qts of M1 EP 0W-20 D1G2 (Have one more jug of this before I get to the D1G3 jugs), ~1/3qt of HPL Premium 0W-20 and Wix 57055. I only have 3qt of the HPL so at this point, I'm using it as top of oil until all of my current stash of M1 and VRP are gone.

Had major corrosion on the positive battery terminal, blue and white. Battery is a 6 year old Subaru replacement battery. The corrosion has been there a while and I'm surprised they never mentioned anything to be about it. I took both terminals off cleaned and put those pads down. It took me a good while to get the positive terminal off. I kept spraying and spraying. Ended up using a wrench to knock is look. Went through a whole can of cleaner (it wasn't that big of a can) and it still didn't remove all the corrosion. I used a screw driver to clean up as much as I could and put back on. Hoping this solves the corrosion issue going forward. I have some stuff to put on the terminals to help prevent the corrosion but I have the CTEK on there now so I will put on after I take it off.

I didn't pay for the battery. It was replaced at 6 months under warranty. I'm not sure I would be eligible for the prorated price of a replacement but to be honest, I would rather put something else in like an Odyssey, Interstate or Redtop. The Legacy uses the group 25 size but the Odyssey is out of stock in that size and I don't see an Interstate available. I'm looking to change it to the group 34 size, which I hear can fit fine. Hoping this cleaning up and using the CTEK will help increase the life of the battery for a little while longer.

2012 GMC Terrain 2.4 166K miles

Out: unknown
In: QS Euro 5W40, Supertech ST9018 filter.

Also did a 10 minute motor medic flush to hopefully clean out the cam phasers as it was idling all jerky and erratic like it was getting stuck advanced again, seems to have cured it.

Interesting that ST9018 had a MP9018 part number filter inside the box and it was a white synthetic media with wire backing. I was really surprised to see that.
