Curious why switch from Super Car to Euro?

Technically, the lower SAPS is spec'd for this car. Super Car is fine, though...it only lost 1/2 a quart in 10,000 miles. So, I'm not poisoning the cat or anything. But the Euro is good for 10,000 miles, and I'll probably not keep this car for more than another 10-20K miles anyway. Too many plastic pieces that get brittle as these engines age and heat-cycle. I'm getting old enough I no longer have fun upgrading those pieces to metal when they begin to leak. Funny how once those plastics are replaced, the engine is good for more than another 100,000 miles. Now, if I had a LIFT where I wouldn't have to roll around on the ground when the time comes, THEN I'd keep the car for 200,000+ miles!

I used the same oil and filter as you for my 2008 Toyota Corolla CE! Great choice.

Pretty reasonable supplying your own oil and filter. My local tow/indy repair shop would charge me $30 for this

You must have an old rotella stash like me. I don’t charge family and friends a dime for oil changes either.

Now, “deadbeats” that are too lazy to do it themselves I do charge cash upfront and I supply oil and filter.

In/on: DELO 15w40 blend I scored for dirt cheap at AAP and a Tough Guard filter. This is an American Legion friend I helped by shopping for our children’s Christmas party. Every child gets a free gift and a meal.
