Post your latest oil change

2023 Rav4 Hybrid XSE AWD 2.5L (16K)
Out -- 4.8 quarts of PUP 0W20 SP & Carquest Premium 85394 (3,677 miles)
In -- 4.8 quarts of Rotella Gas Truck 0W20 SN & ST4967

Note: Starting on my stash of Advance Auto Parts $2.00 a quart deal years back. Will work fine paired with that oil filter for a 4K run. Toyota Care 20K oil/filter change is next. My 2nd and last free one on them.

2024 Subaru Crosstrek 2.0 - 13,068 miles on vehicle; unknown miles on oil/filter.
I estimate around 6 or 7K miles on the oil, just a guess.

Out - Unknown oil and Service Champ filter
In - Quaker State Ultimate Protection 0W-20 and Super Tech filter

Bought lightly used with 13K on the odometer. I didn't really care to see the Service Champ oil filter it came to me with (although it's probably fine). Then I realized I was glad to see it because I figured it showed that the oil had been changed at least once.

subaru oil filter on it when bought.webp

I still have a couple of RGT Jugs from that sale. Will use them up soon.

2005 Toyota Camry(239K Miles)
2.4L 2AZ-FE

Out: Kirkland Signature 5W30 4QT w/ WIX 57145
In: Valvoline Restore & Protect 5W30 4QT w/ WIX 57145

Heard a lot new stuff with R&P so decided to give it a try from Costco oil and whatever I can get on sale with rebates. I'm not really expecting too much since my car has seen 5K OCI since brand new, and did a NAPA/ALS oil analysis a few months ago with no major findings. I did ran through a can of BG 44K 1-2k miles before this oil change.

Cutout of my old WIX filter, doesn't show much carbon or any metal.

Any consumption? Some of those 2AZ-FEs had that as a major issue

Nothing too serious, I don't really see more than a quart burned per 5K miles. I'm not sure if it's the Costco oil not doing as well compared to like Mobil 1 or Pennzoil Platinum that causes more "burn", either way it hasn't really given me trouble.

Seems like I hit the sweet spot with the 2AZ-FE, since the early years had the headbolt issue while the later years had the oil burn issue.

2002 Volkswagen Jetta ALH TDI
515,239kms

Out: 5W40 Rotella T6 and MANN HU7262X
In: 5W40 Supertech Euro and Champion COC8530

Oil Changed after 7,094km and four-and-a-half years.

Had the oil sitting around from the $14.88 a jug days jugs before Covid. Figured why the heck not just use it. Rebuilt the body which is why I had almost no time on the oil.

2017 Subaru Crosstrek Premium 2.0L (70,804 miles) One of my best friends...

Out --- 0W20 Dealer fill... Left new Subaru OEM on.
In --- 2.5 quarts of QSUP 5W30 & 2.6 quarts of QSFS 5W30

Note -- QSUP jug was a leftover with 2.5 quarts. Just paired it with the QSFS. She drives about 5000 miles a year. Normally 65/35 short trip. She does the occasional good 30 mile drive one way every other Saturday through the whole year. She just bought the car for $15,900.00 and the Carfax was immaculate with there records. She is the second owner. Elderly couple stayed with the dealer for the last 7 years where purchased new. Normal oil changes were between 4-7K on 0W20 Dealer bulk. Plugs just changed at 60K with the CVT fluid and differentials. All new Goodyear Assurance tires all the way around with a brand new battery. She did well on this purchase with her research. Dealer told her it only was posted yesterday after lunch. I charged her nothing for the oil.
