Is that the Swepco 502 Moly version?
If it is, it's $32 for a 16oz bottle at Amazon.

That Xado stuff is the most expensive I found..... around $64 for 12 ounces.
Yes, it's an organic moly that doesn't fall out of suspension. I get it considerably cheaper than that.

I did some work with the replacing the VVT solenoid and the sensor on the exhaust bank lately, with the amount of sludge that was around the sensor, I think I may just switch to using whatever 0W or 5W I have excess of for the fall/winter and then in the spring/summer start using up my stash of 15W50, I know changing the oil every 6mo seems like a wast but this car gets driven like 3-4 times a day every day for short trips and we don't do enough highway driving to evap off all the condensation so I think going to a 6mo interval might be for the best. Filter came out looking good as always, I think when I do the 6mo oil change I'll just uncrew the cartridge housing let it drain off and then run the filter a second shorter OCI.

22,765 miles / 5,250 miles OCI
Out: Toyota 0W16 (maybe) / YZZN1 Filter
In: Castrol Edge 0W20 / YZZN1 Filter

Not certain on the oil brand and viscosity. Just speculation cause the dealer invoice didn’t specify. Filter was OEM. Gumout was used on the previous tank. Next up for oil is VL R & P 0W20. Have a jug on hand and figure it will do some cleaning. Not that I think it needs it.

First oil change on the new (to us) ‘23 Sienna Hybrid after the ‘21 was totaled this summer. Picked it up certified used with low mileage. So far so good.

A friend is a single Mom with 2 daughters getting ready for college soon. She works like 70 hours per week to keep the wheels on. A great gal...

Out: not even 3 qts Kirk 5w30, XG7310 (15K). Kinda funny, I tilt the vehicle to get a more complete drain...
In: 5 qts Kirk 5w30, TG7310

Other fluids looked good, set tires to 32 psi, buffed headlamps. I scolded her and told her to go stand in the corner until she understood what she did! The Costco sale helps out. All good.

Resurrecting a Mercury Marauder 4.6 L 32v DOHC w/ supercharger making 8.5# of boost. Car was not started for > 5 years.

Previously ran M1 or PP 5w30 and Napa Gold filters on 1 yr OCI's, usually with < 2,000 mi. per yr.

The garage put in 5w20 syn blend (Ford spec) and a bulk filter when they did the other work (fuel pump, fuel filter, tires, brakes etc etc).

I took that out today after 500 miles. It was pretty dark, but idk what it looked like when it went in. It definitely gave everything a good hot rinse.

Put in : 5 qt. vanilla M1 5w30 + 1 qt. HPL EC + Fram Endurance filter.
I plan to change over to HPL PCMO after this OCI.

Interesting adventures in oil lol !! I would defiantly run a good oil in that DOHC cobra engine. And choosing HPL is a smart move!!!

I'm a cheap ass lol So I'm going to run my 100qt stash of Pennzoil platinum 10W30 in my beater 09 with 200K miles and 8400 idle hours for my winter OCI's

From what I have read on the crown vic groups its best to keep the Motorcraft filter or Purolator one or Boss cause of the special ADBV

I have owned several Panther platform cars and I'm not aware of anything special about the MC ADBVs other than specifying silicone (?), which the Fram Endurance also has (?)

There is A LOT of fuss on the Ford boards about which end of the MC filter the bypass valve is located, but I'm not convinced that it actually matters, and I never even come close to the end of a filter's life expectancy.

For the low mileage of my OCI's, I am more interested in filtering efficiency than in long mileage capacity.
