My first crawl under as a kid.
First the oil got changed. Afterwards, I'm here checking the rear differential fluid

Yes, it's an organic moly that doesn't fall out of suspension. I get it considerably cheaper than that.Is that the Swepco 502 Moly version?
If it is, it's $32 for a 16oz bottle at Amazon.
That Xado stuff is the most expensive I found..... around $64 for 12 ounces.
Resurrecting a Mercury Marauder 4.6 L 32v DOHC w/ supercharger making 8.5# of boost. Car was not started for > 5 years.
Previously ran M1 or PP 5w30 and Napa Gold filters on 1 yr OCI's, usually with < 2,000 mi. per yr.
The garage put in 5w20 syn blend (Ford spec) and a bulk filter when they did the other work (fuel pump, fuel filter, tires, brakes etc etc).
I took that out today after 500 miles. It was pretty dark, but idk what it looked like when it went in. It definitely gave everything a good hot rinse.
Put in : 5 qt. vanilla M1 5w30 + 1 qt. HPL EC + Fram Endurance filter.
I plan to change over to HPL PCMO after this OCI.
I have owned several Panther platform cars and I'm not aware of anything special about the MC ADBVs other than specifying silicone (?), which the Fram Endurance also has (?)Interesting adventures in oil lol !! I would defiantly run a good oil in that DOHC cobra engine. And choosing HPL is a smart move!!!
I'm a cheap ass lol So I'm going to run my 100qt stash of Pennzoil platinum 10W30 in my beater 09 with 200K miles and 8400 idle hours for my winter OCI's
From what I have read on the crown vic groups its best to keep the Motorcraft filter or Purolator one or Boss cause of the special ADBV
