I still got some jugs of that I bought when Walmart went crazy with clearance in 2020, they were actually $5 a jug they'd been marked down another 50 cent from the stickers on them, I have 8 left, 6 of them had no stickers on them, I couldn't find any that had the $5 stickers, I think most of them I scored weren't even marked.

Amazon has it on sale often. I don't know about moly, the stringent approvals are what matter.

Carbon buildup matters also. You'll get less using the PCMO Valvoline EP than your Val Euro 5W-30 XL-III.
Most Approvals or most money getting all that carbon removed later on. Euro oils are potent, but on TGDIs they come with a sooner repair bill later on.

What matters most is length of OCI, in conjunction with keeping that carbon at-bay.

It’s SN, CK-4, full syn and $5 a gallon. More than capable for a 5k OCI in a gently driven Mercedes OM602.

Next up is HPL CK-4 5W40 for a 10k run.

In - 1qt HPL PCMO 5W-30, 3.5 qts PP Euro L 5W-30 and a Honda Filtech 15400-PLM-A01 from @researcher garage sale.

Last OCI was 5 qts but only needed 4.5 qts this time. I was a little lower on my driveway apron with the ramps for what drained out. CRV only calls for 4.4qts with filter change. My waste jug had about 4.25 qts in it.

Went to AAP to recycle the used oil. Sign on door said cash only, guy said they can't even look up parts since last week due to the Crowdstrike issue.

hey glad you enjoyed my parting out garage sale! Still have more parts, just have to get around to organizing it all and listing it! Can't wait for a cut/post of that filter, I know I still have to cut my last A01 and post that!

She is only working part time currently and goes back to school in 3 weeks. Won't get as many miles as fast this time so could be 5-6 months, maybe more, we'll see. Last year she was working almost 30 hour weeks at a place about 20 minutes away. This year is 1st semester grad school so unknown what time for work she'll have if any.

Yes I did it the lazy way, my lift is tied up and I may have a cracked rib so trying to minimize my movements

Wellll........If I had any "ITF fluid" I would be talking to a Dr, not running it in a Focus or any car??

The Pennz ATV oil was a AZ clearance special $3 a qt !! Over my MAX $$ limit per qt. But I'm sure you know that full syn 10W-40 is hard to find on a special deal

Funny thing is later that week my oil wholesaler guy let me know the he had few cases of Royal HP 10W-40 full syn motorcycle oil for $2.25 a qt

Mityvac (knockoff) fail! It only sucked out 1.5 qts before it stopped. I then opened the drain plug and finished the OC in the conventional way. Later, when I was cleaning up, I noticed that the hose had partially pulled out of the Mity coupler, thus breaking the seal and eliminating the vacuum. Lesson learned...check the equipment if it doesn't work as expected!

These filters were bought on Wish website for kicks and are fine. They fit too, no bent pleats. I don't track mileage, change at my leisure and never comes out black. Tend to pour in whatever acquired on clearance. And the molly was bought years ago before inflation. I run cheap.
