Post your latest oil change

10 year 100k power train warranty, gotta stick with 0w20. I’ll try the Evil Empire oil next time.
The Koreans for a long time specified ACEA specs before API/ILSAC. IMO, so that you have a leg to stand on, keep your receipts of every OCI. Nothing wrong with Kirkland oil, but a more stout Euro-spec oil(M1 ESP 0W-20/30 or 5W-30 also available in PP Euro L and Castrol Edge Euro C3 flavors) would be my pick.

Change it often then. 20 shears down quickly with direct injection.
Not GDI, port.

Filter (Purflux L394) not changed for this mid service oil change

First use of Estune 7.5 liter manual/pneumatic oil extractor, which replaced an underwhelming Mityvac MV7400. The Estune exceeded my expectations, doing all that I had expected from my first oil extractor, and even better, faster, and cleaner.

I have the same engine and same warranty with 5 years remaining. Prior to 2022, that engine could use 0w/5w20/30 oils. Realizing a mistake in 0w20 viscosity for 2022, the viscosity was changed to 0w30 for 2023.

Use whatever you like. I'm only at this thread to help your engine live longer. Hyunkia Inc made 10 years of mistakes with oil viscosities. Do you really think they got your year correct and then wrongly changed it for 2023?

(my opinion) Our 2.0 MPI engines actually runs best and will last the longest on 10w30 and 0w40. But hey, use what the worst engine engineers on earth tell you. They know best....lol

The OLM reached zero a few weeks ago, I finally changed it today, I put at least 3qts in it this OCI, so I decided that from now on I'll change it when it finally gets a quart low after the OLM goes off. I have a stash of clearanced 3593A Ultras I got from Meijer when they got rid of that size but the shelf they were on got moved and I don't know where somebody put the filters , but I at least I had a ToughGaurd on hand that I got for 72 cents when Meijer closed-out all the 3593A size filters.

This was a very cheap oil change. Oil was 50 cents a quart after the Shell rebate from Autozone's 2019 RGT clearance. Filter was 84 cents from a recent case purchase on Amazon. Total cost: $3.59 including a new Honda drain plug washer. This car in my climates doesn't need any stinking 0w-20.

The bad news: after my photograph shown below, I could not get the K&N PS-1010 filter to thread on. The starting groove seemed to be cut poorly and several careful attempts failed. I had to switch to a PG4612, which went right on. Email sent to K&N. I believe the filter was made by Champion Labs.
