In July 2025, consider switching to 5w30 Jimmy. My daughter is on her 3rd Rogue. The 2023 with that three cylinder is one loud hoot. Sounds like a diesel whenever it idles, hot or cold.

I may do that once the warranty expires. I might even go to 5w30 conventional just based on how little I drive now.

Going in the Jeep tomorrow to see if it will dry up a slight RMS leak. Guys on a Jeep forum swear by conventional High Mileage oil for this.

This was following a flush with clean 5w20 Supertech Full Synthetic oil and a Qt. of MotorMedic engine flush with a clean filter, run for 5 minutes and drain oil and change filter. This was a used purchase and unknown engine history. The flush did clean a bit of sludge. I do have plans to pull the pan, clean, replace oil pickup o-ring and install improve oil pickup clamp.

2021 Kia Seltos - Out : Mobil 1 Extended Performance 5w30 with Fram Ultra #9688 oil filter, 5K mile / 6 month OCI (I run two OCI ‘s with the same Fram Ultra) . In : Same as above . *The new Mobil 1 Extended Performance 5w30 D1 / Gen 3 synthetic oil runs smooth and quiet in both this Kia Seltos 2.0L PFI engine as well as my 2017 Hyundai Sonata 2.4L GDI engine , so I’ll keep using it (as long as under $30 from Walmart) .
