Post your latest oil change

2012 GMC terrain, 154K miles.

Out: Quakerstate Euro 5W40 and Fram CH9018, 11,000 miles since last oil change and 8 quarts of top off oil were reported to be added.
In: Mobil 1 Euro 0W40 and Fram ultra XG9018
Also installed new air filter and cleaned the MAF. Went from running like garbage and surging horribly at idle to smooth as glass with just the oil change.

Sending samples to Wix and Blackstone for comparison. Should have results in about a month on the latter 😅.

I’m jealous of people who live places where they can use 10w40 in February lol.

TBH, 20W50 would probably work as well!
I heard it's really nice weather in Brittany this time of the year. 20w50 gets used there a-lot.

Wait - nevermind. I got Brittany mixed up with the recently uncovered Zealandia.
New continents are beginning to emerge on earth. Get ready to order plane tickets to Atlantis folks. Oil Wells will be drilled there that will allow 40k OCIs.

It's barely freezing here but very rainy, similar to northern CA, OR or WA i guess. We had 18c (64f) a few days ago which is very rare for february.

20W50 is actually quite rare now but was popular back in the 80s. 5W30, 5W40 and 10W40 are the norm here nowadays. It's impressive how much 10W40 is still being sold!

I would have put in 10w40 synblend and scheduled the next change at 5k.
Yeah, this guy lives on the other side of the state now and haven't been able to do it with his or my schedule when he's been over here the last couple of times. Ran 10W40 in it for a while, it does noticeably better with the Euro oil for sure. The remainder 7 quarts of the 0W40 left over in the box are going in my sisters BMW.

Neighbors 2013 Ford Flex 3.5 Ecoboost. Kept having intermittent oil pressure light coming on at idle here and there, even after replacing the oil pressure switch.

Out: 1200 mile M1 Euro 0W40 and a Premium guard oil filter (I think that filter was the cause of the problem because the light never came on at all during the test drive or the 3.5 hours I drove it home)
In: Mobil 1 EP HM 5W30 and a Motorcraft FL500S, engine sounds noticeably smoother and quieter for some reason, and no dreaded oil pressure light at idle at random anymore, so far.

I gotta say, that M1 Euro 0W40 must have done some cleaning because it came out absolutely filthy for the mileage, the oil the car was bought with was in there for 2 years and like 2500 miles according to the oil change record on carfax and the window sticker and didn't come out near as dirty, whatever was in it I don't know. Lots of carbon in the bottom of the pan and inside the oil filter.

Sisters 2013 BMW 328i 3.0 I6 111,000 miles

Out: unknown about 5000 miles on oil

IN: M1 Euro 0W40 and Fram XG10075

This Fram ultra looks fantastic compared to the one I put in that GMC terrain on Saturday.

I was also greeted to a face full of hot coolant as the coolant reservoirs small quick connect line fitting broke as I was filling it with oil. Glad that didn't decide to break on the road.

2019 Subaru Impreza.
21579 on car. 54000 mile / 54 month Service. Just shy of 6 months on oil. 2,369 miles.
Out/In: PUP 0W-20. Last of my PUP. On to PP

Off: Subaru 15208AA15A. Last of my Subaru filters.
On: Wix 57055

Putting a Redline SI bottle in when I got to fill up later.

Also started my 2001 S4 and let it run while changing the oil. I have it on a battery tender but I don't start it often. Got oil temps up around 200+. One of the turbos is shot so it is burning oil. One of these days, I'l get to fix that car. Been saying that for a few years now...

My 2018 Nissan Rogue, 61,021 miles on the car, maybe 3,300 miles on the oil. The car is still covered under the Nissan CPO extended warranty so I still have to follow their 6 month/5,000 mile oci. That will finally end in July 2025.

Out: O'Reilly Syntec 0W20 and Microgard MSL51358
In: Kirkland 0W20 and STP S6607
Also added air to set all 4 tires at 35 psi
