First time changing it on this for me. FCA gets low marks for putting the drain plug right over the frame crossmember, and the technician who changed it last gets an A if his goal was to make the drain plug as tight as possible. I tried making a deflector/funnel by cutting the side out of a quart bottle, but I still made a mess when it missed the catch pan. Thought it would be relatively easy to get under it with my creeper, but that wasn't the case, the drain plug is a ways back and I can't clear the front axle. Saw the transmission pan does not have a drain plug while I was under there, that's going to be fun when it's time to change the ATF.

My grandniece's Corolla, up from Oceanside to see the 49er game tomorrow. Front rubber was pretty worn, so off to America's Tire for 2 Arizona tires. Only took an hour and the place was packed!

I have to say it was nice to remove that composite filter because it was not over tightened. Real nice as compared to the last one I serviced.

The 2014 Pathfinder in my bio

5 quarts API SJ Quaker State 10w30 (yes, I'm a hoarder, don't laugh)
Fram TG6607 filter
1 bottle old formula (copyright date on bottle 1999) STP Oil Treatment

I'll run this franken-brew for 5K then do a UOA. I've already ran old API SH oil in my Pathfinder with zero issues so I'm comfortable burning some of my SJ stash in it.
