Post your latest oil change

2005 Dodge Grand Mormon Van. 253,000km. 15k on the oil. It was past due as it burns oil past the 10k mark as a reminder to change it. Had added maybe 1 litre or more of oil.

Out was Motomaster 5w30 synthetic and Fram tough guard. In was the same with a Fram ultra.

2015 Kia Soul Base Model 65,307 miles. About 5,200 miles on oil. She sometimes forgets about it needing an oil change as the base model doesn’t have an oil life meter. So I tell her 5,000 or 5 months which usually it’s more than 5 months because she doesn’t drive a lot. Can’t see very good. My aunt does most of the driving.

Out: 4 quarts Mobil 1 5W20 Full Synthetic
Off: Mobil 1 M1-104A

In: 4 quarts genuine Toyota 5W20
On: Genuine Kia 26300-35505 filter

The reason for going with Toyota oil is it was the cheapest oil from work that i could get. $2.97 a quart. This is my grandmas car she doesn’t make a whole lot with her fixed income. I always tell her she doesn’t need to worry about paying for anything but she insists to pay me, so I get the best prices I can. I was surprised that Toyota was the cheapest oil. We sell it for $9 a quart normally. We’ve been using Mobil 1 because Walmart used to be cheaper as we just started getting oil discounts at work they used to not give employees oil discounts. But I don’t care what oil it is that does in as long as it’s good which Toyota oil is.

Changed from HPL Euro 5w-30 to Pennzoil Euro LX 0w-30, after 5000 miles. Cut open filter, no "carbonaceous" blobs/specs like some have reported...but, my car only has 36,300 miles on it now, and it's always had 5000 mile OCI's with good oil. This oil was a bit darker than usual, and the filter pleats were not as red as usual...much darker (I took pictures to compare). So, perhaps it did a bit of extra cleaning. I'll go back to HPL after this OCI...I wanted to use up the stock of Pennzoil that I picked up previously (before I knew about HPL) at a superb price.
