Post your latest oil change

2018 Kia Optima EX 2.4l
OCI: 4,135, ~6.5mo
Total miles: 39,848
Out: M1 EP 10w30, '05 OEM filter
In: Kirkland 5w30, '05 OEM filter
Oil smelled like a gas can. Very unbearable. A full 5 quart jug brings the oil to about 3/4 on the dip stick. Topped off with Castrol EP 5w20 to full mark.
Had 3 OEM filters left, went to pre-fill and lube filter and realized the dome end was dented. Threw the filter in the trash and grabbed another one. I'm not buying filters online anymore.

That's why I stopped too.

2006 Honda Pilot EX AWD
269000 miles
6000 miles oil change interval, following maintenenance minder timing.
Last oil change was March 2020, vehicle sort of in storage for last year or two, gets driven every 3 weeks
Drained: Mobil 1 High Mileage 0w20, burned/lost almost nothing
Filled: Mobil 1 High Mileage 0w20
Old filter was Wix XP, was hardish to remove, maybe I put on too tight, or was on too long
Cut open old filter, metal seal crimp, media was still strong, metal end caps, silione ADBV still pliable, filter seemed shorter than other filters I have cut open
New filter: Bosch Premium 3323

2014 Ford F-150 5.0 crew cab 4x4.
Almost 7,000 miles on old oil I think it was Kirkland 0w20. In 5 quart jug Kirkland 0w20 and 1 quart of Castrol 20w50. I had the Castrol laying around and am slowly getting rid of it. I left the Fram Ultra filter on it for another round. My miles are almost all interstate from Sioux Falls to Chamberlain SD to go fishing. I store my boat there and tow it a couple miles to the Missouri river.

I also gave it a can of fluid film to protect the metal if I drive it in the winter for ice fishing.

Nice truck! Love that license plate too 👍

2010 Scion XD. 139K miles. 4.4 qts of Delo 15W-40 and a Super tech filtro. 15K interval. Drained Delvac 1300 with LubeGard out and sending sample to Blackstone. First fill was Delvac 1300 with no additive. I'm looking forward to see the results of this UOA since it had the LubeGard in it.

Did my wife's pre-winter oil change on her Accent yesterday:

Out: ACDelco 0w20
OEM Filter

In: Same

Sent out a sample using a kit I bought on Amazon. The car only has 3200 miles on it but I want a baseline for future sampling. This car is heavily short tripped so I want to keep an eye on the oil health.

Update to my OC on the 30th…
Jeep calls for 4.3L of oil, and I put in a 4.4L jug, but it still shows low by about 1/2 litre of oil.
So I added a 15-ounce bottle of STP gold bottle synthetic oil treatment - not too thick for the winter, and boosts up the calcium detergent content and TBN of the oil.

Did my oil change on my mirage today and the filter pictured didn't seal and I lost all my oil. Good thing I had enough for one more round and an extra filter.

2020 Mirage 1.2

Out: Havoline 0W20/OEM filter
In: Havoline 0W20/ Napa Platinum 47356

Ho do you like the placement of the oil filter ? Looks a bit tight and messy when I looked under the Mirage I test drove . I always look for location of oil filter for those easy O.C.s . Do like the MIRAGE + G4 for its original looks .

It's actually really easy to get to once you remove the small shield attached to the bumper. It gives you a lot of room to work with. You can also get it from the top but I have a lift at work I use so I don't need to do it that way.

2019 Honda Pilot 45K

Out Amsoil SS 0W20 Fram Ultra
In Amsoil XL 0W20 with Biotech Honda filter.

I had 8K on this run. On the SS run I changed the oil at 40% due to a trip. Rest the olm at 15% and continued to run the oil till the next 15%. It was black with very little oil lose. I should of done a uoa.
