Mileage: 161,065 miles (7K miles on oil change with 15% left on OLM, lots of highway miles)
Oil Out: Mobil1 5W-20 EP Synthetic
Oil In: 3Qt Pennzoil Platinum 5W-20 and 1.25 Qt Carquest 0W-20
Filter: XG7317 stayed on for it’s second interval

Another oil change today with Chicago daytime temp of 5F my friend 04 toyota 4 runner put in KIrkland FS 5W-30 and fram orange can 3614 rated 10k.She got 207k miles on odometer.

Drained the Delvac 1300 & Motorkote, left the Wix filter in place.

Refilled with 2 quarts of Mobil 1 HM 5w-20, 1 quart Mobil 1 5w-30 Truck & SUV + a ~15 ounce mixture of Rislone, Motorkote & LiquiMoly 2009

2020 CRV EX-L 1.5t, wife's car 4502 total miles in 14 months. UOA showed 2.5% dilution after 2250 miles on the oil, thinned slightly below grade. Used mostly for around town, OD is obviously going to be an ongoing issue with this type of usage, I'll probably start driving it to work a couple days a week to get more highway miles on it. These small displacement DI Turbocharged engines will only live with more frequent OCI's given this type of use.

Did the oil on my 2005 Dodge Grand Mormon van. 237,000km, not sure what was on the oil but estimate 15,000km.

Out was Federated Co-op group 4 based 0w30. Looks like a Napa pro select filter.

In went Shell based Motomaster synthetic 5w30 and a Fram tough guard filter.

65,002 miles on vehicle, 4,968 miles/10 months on oil and filter.

Out and off: Magnatec 0w-20 and a Bosch D+ 3422

In and on: 4.5 qts Mobil 1 AFE 0w-20 and a Fram TG3600.

My daughter said she added 1 qt around 63,000 miles, and it was about 3/4 qt low when I changed, so I guess this engine is going to start using oil (it is a 2AZ-FE).
So while not the 1 qt every 600 miles some have with this motor, it is starting to increase (never used any oil at all till ~45,000 miles).

This is the last run with 0w-20, I was planning on starting it on 5w-20 next change, but may just jump to 5w-30 instead.

It has always had change intervals of 5,000 miles or less, and since 20,000 miles (after the "free" changes by Toyota with TGMO) has had only synthetic oil. I was hoping this would help with the issue, but guess not. We will see.
I plan on doing the spark plugs and changing the PCV sometime in the near future, will see if than has any effect.

You have to take a tire off to change oil???

Honda 3.5 V6s have the filter tucked away in a hard to reach place, even when the vehicles on a lift. Taking the tire off makes it easier to remove and install. Just like 97-08 3800 equipped Pontiac Grand Prixs for example.
