2013 Ford Focus, 115,641 odo, 4,179/9 mos. OCI

Out: Supertech HM Syn 5W20 + Motorcraft filter
In: Supertech Syn 5W20 + Supertech filter

Son taking back to college after break, needed to get it sorted beforehand.
Why did you not continue with the SuperTech HM Synthetic this round?
 
Out: 4qts Valvoline Premium Blue Extreme 5w-40 + 1qt Lucas PSOS and K&N HP-2004 filter
Added Motor Medica Synthetic Engine flush and used according to directions, drained the oil.

In: Mobil Delvac 1 ESP 5w-40 + STP High Mileage Oil Treatment and K&N HP-2004 Filter.
I forgot to add that this was in my 04 Grand Caravan with the 3.3L V6. 207K. It wont let me edit the post now.
 
2003 VW Passat W8. 111,099 mi. 969 mi OCI. Short interval as a flush as I was having a sticking cam adjuster solenoid and ran some Seafoam through it then changed the oil. It's not come back since the Seafoam...

Out: 9 qt Quaker State Ultimate Durability Euro Full Syn 5W40 + Napa Gold filter + 2 cans Liquimoly Proline Engine Flush
In: 8 qt Liquimoly Leichtlauf High Tech 5W40 + 2 cans of LM MoS2 (600ml) 6+ Hangste filter + o-ring + drain plug

2013 Bmw X5 35i xdrive, 3.0 N55
107,500 on vehicle, 4,234 mi OCI. Engine was getting a bit noisy and wasn't impressed with the Total cold start behavior in the single digits already. So got it done before it got frigid.

Out: Total Quartz 9000 Energy 5w-40, MANN filter (what my local indy uses)
In: Ravenol SSO 0w-30, MANN HU 816x

Out: Valvoline Full Synthetic 5w20 and Royal Purple Filter

In: Royal Purple 5w30 and Royal Purple filter

With the Valvoline and other 5w20 oils, I would occasionally get some lifter tapping on a re-start when warmed up....not always, but sometimes. I switched to Royal Purple 5w30 and in the last 1,000 miles I have had NO ticking. Oil pressure is the same at 2,000 rpms, mpg is the same and the only difference is that at warm idle in drive the old psi was 28 and is now 31.
