Why did you not continue with the SuperTech HM Synthetic this round?
The only reason I did the HM last time was Wally was out of everything else but this. I just wanted the regular syn formulation.

I figured it was better than the Lucas. At least it adds some ZDDP instead of being just a VI improver.
I forgot to add that this was in my 04 Grand Caravan with the 3.3L V6. 207K. It wont let me edit the post now.

With the Valvoline and other 5w20 oils, I would occasionally get some lifter tapping on a re-start when warmed up....not always, but sometimes. I switched to Royal Purple 5w30 and in the last 1,000 miles I have had NO ticking. Oil pressure is the same at 2,000 rpms, mpg is the same and the only difference is that at warm idle in drive the old psi was 28 and is now 31.

Good choice on the oil. Redline makes top notch products.
