2021 Mazda CX-5 GT - 9987 Miles
Out: Mobile 1 0w20 - Mazda filter - 4952 miles on the oil/filter
In: Mobile 1 0w20 - STP S6607 - Will go for 5k and change.

Next time I take it in I'll ask if they're willing to draw a sample for a UOA. Figure after the 3rd OCI it might be nice just to get a baseline of what the engine is doing. I'm expecting a 100% boring report. A check at 15k then maybe again at 50-60K just to see how things are going. That's a decision for 5-6 months from now though. Pretty sure (at least for the next several OCIs that the CX-5 will have a steady diet of Mobil 1 0w20. Pre-paid service means whatever the dealer is using, so far Mobile 1 0w20, though anything they supply will work great I suspect.

What do the gallons of Scheaffer's 9000 series oil cost? Post #15,101 above.
They came out to $39/gal with tax & shipping as part of a six gallon case. I’ve since found a place locally that is almost a $1/qt cheaper just buying single quarts, not sure yet if they have a better deal on gallon jugs.

Moms annual oil change:

out pp 5w30 with Fram ultra
In:Mobil 1 5w30 vanilla with fram tough guard

Oci was approximately 8k. Mostly short trips. Gonna run a short 5k run on this change as I usually change around 7 k just to clean things up a bit

Car is a Mazda 3 2008 calls for 5w20 but I’ve been running 5w30 for the last 40k or so since I took over oil change duties from her local shop. Outside of the cafe requirements this car is specced for 5w30 so I figured why not. Just like to help her out when I can.

Might be the best looking (oil) jugs I’ve ever seen!
They really do look great, but I'm still partial to Quaker State GREEN for some reason.

Saw this commercial the other day and I can't get it out of my head. It must be the zombie apocalypse...

Somebody here posted it:

In about a week, my next OCI will be QSFS (QSUD) oil's kissing cousin: RGT 5W-30 and an Ultra filter.

It's also in a RED jug, same as Schaeffer's.
