2019 Ford Escape 1.5L EcoBoost, 4.5k on oil, OLM 0%. This was the first fill on a new short block, replaced under warranty due to internal coolant leak

In; 15w40 T4 and Baldwin filter. Also spin-on trans filter.

2008 Hyundai Sonata 3.3 v6
Changed oil on my sister in laws car after replacing a valve cover gasket and o2 sensor.
Drained out Pennzoil 5w20 bulk oil from some oil change place. Cartridge so i couldn't tell what brand.

Put in Pennzoil 5w20 synblend yellow bottle and a regular fram filter.


Also changed oil on my f250 that i bought last fall and hadnt changed the oil because it looked fine and didnt use it much through winter

Removed napa gold filter, oil unknown

Put in the following

60,034 miles on vehicle, 5,006 miles on oil and filter.
1/2 qt low with no top off.

Out/off: Rotella Gas Truck 0W-20/Car Quest Blue (Wix) 84145 Filter

In/on: 4.5 qts Castrol Magnatec 0W-20/Bosch Distance+ 3422.
Total cost was qt for oil at AAP clearance).

For some reason, the last 2 Carquest filters have started leaking from the gasket area.
Not real bad, no sign on the ground where it it parked, but the filter was oily and the pan was as well.
Filter was plenty tight, no double gasket, no obvious damage to the mounting area, so no idea.
Will see if the D+ does it or not.

If that was to me, yeah, it was good, but her last change of Rotella Gas Truck and Carquest Blue filter was
Her next change will actually be either free or they will have paid me (free Mobil 1 filter from @DuckRyder a few years ago that I have yet to use and either some free Mobil 1 AFE due to Walmart pricing error or some Rotella Gas Truck that I was paid a few bucks for on clearance and rebate).

I almost bought a used '14 a few years ago but went with a new Subaru instead. Had 2 Audis at the time and didn't want another expensive maintenance car. Your car sure does take a lot of oil. My B5 S4 takes about 8 qts but I have it modified with a second oil cooler and I am using the larger B6 A4 oil filter. Stock is about 6.5

I got this BMW in December 2019 with 84k, manual. Put 22k miles on it since and had so far only failed oil filter housing gasket ($37), which is a usual item on these engines, and I track this car.
The engine takes 7.5qt bcs. inline 6. They always take a lot of oil as 5&6 cyl cooling is more dependent on oil. Also, I retrofitted the oil cooler from 335 as I had oil temperature issues on track. So, now, it takes almost 8qt. That is good as these inline 6 also do not like high G load taking a left turn on the track. So, usually on track, people overfill a bit these engines.
