In: Castrol GTX Ultraclean 5W30 - OEM filter (04152-YZZA6 (Made in Thailand))

It burned about 2.5 quarts in those 6k miles. I replaced the PCV, old one was okay. Cause is likely sludge build up in oil rings, oil ring grooves. Going to try 5W30 Ultraclean to see what happens. If burning continues, going to add some MMO closer to end of OCI.

One store had 6+ instock and I couldn't find it anywhere until the second time I went back and realized that XSP retained the same UPC as the old 5w40 400LE, and that store had 7 jugs of 400 LE with 2013 date codes so I left them.

Changed oil in my 2018 Subaru Legacy today. Change due to time, not mileage because of warranty. 6 Months plus 2 weeks.

Out and In. M1 0W-20 AFE and Amsoil Filter. Also changed cabin air filter due to warranty and being in 12 months.
This is the last of my AFE stash. Next up will be M1 EP. Got ~4 jugs lying around and 3 out of my 4 cars use the same oil and filter.

One should always check your records before changing the oil, even if you are "sure" you know it needs it. Otherwise you can throw away perfectly good oil and filter for no reason at 2611 miles, and still not change the oil in the vehicle that actually needed it
