That Honda only holds 3-1/2 quarts and you ran the oil for 9.3k?
If that were mine, I'd disregard the owners manual and disregard any UOAs and change the oil at one-half of your 9.3K.

That's assuming your Honda will be with you a lifetime. If not, then just roll with Supertech - then discard the vehicle prematurely to old age.

I don't think it's unreasonable. Seems to be enough oil for, basically, a 1.5L lawn mower engine. Cubic inches devided by Qts.

My 1984 Pontiac 6000 2.5 held this low amount. I ran it to almost 300k using conventional every 3K. It's death was rust, not oil-related.

It ran perfect and the dipstick was still amber semi-clear, as I drove it to the junkyard 18 years later. Too dangerous to sit-in. I recall paying $8k for the new Pontiac. Now the new, similar Malibu / Honda loaded is closer to $28k.

Oil is still cheap in comparison. Costs pennies really to change a little more frequently. There wasn't any nickels and dimes used to buy that Honda. Why nicke and dime the oil change frequency?.... unless the vehicle won't hang around a lifetime and if that's the case, then why not use trusted Supertech?

Also switched out my set out continental dws06 tires that has 5K on them that I couldn't get rid of the vibration for a set of general g-max as-05's. Tires ride 100% better. Sending oil out for oil sample here this week.

Wow
Those General g-max as-05's are rated real well at Discount Tire. Thanks for the post, as I will folder this brand & model for the future.
I also have the Kumho Crugen HP71s and Michelin Defenders in that folder.

55K on the clock and running like a charm. I usually don't keep a car for more than 2-3 years anyways but I may run this one into the ground when it hits 400K. I avg about 36K a year. Working remote cut into this total big the last 3 months. I'd say 90% of that mileage is highway as commute is 100 per day ayg r/t. My ex's 2010 Honda Fit was still running like a top at almost 300K before she traded it for a 2019 Civic Touring Coupe.

Also fwiw, I haven't noticed any gas smell in the oil and the dipstick level appeared to be steady even after 9K. Warranty on engine to 125K. I'm comfortable
