Out: an educated guess is a Pennzoil dexos oil, Pennzoil PZ-171 filter
In: 5 QTS ACDelco synthetic dexos 5W-30, Pronto PO5839 filter

In -- 4.5 quarts of 5W30 PUPP & Fram Ultra

New Wheels for me, traded in the Explorer with 159 thousand plus miles. Starting to really nickel & dime me the last three/four years.

NOTE: The Amsoil OE seemed to run very well in this engine, but it left a very DARK stain on the white oil filler cap--something that had not happened before switching to Amsoil. Went with the Castro because: a. Had not used Castrol in the past 20+ years and wanted to try it, and b. It was on rollback at Walmart.
