My sons 2019 Kona 2.0 engine
Only 7,120 miles on the car. Sparsely driven
Original filter on the car. Claims the oil was once changed but not filter. It was pretty dirty so maybe not.
Had to use a filter clamp and 3/4 breaker bar to remove filter, luckily it did not tear the can.
The battery failed on it this morning. He needs to drive it more often.
Headed to WM to get a battery.

Completed the first oil change on my GLI at 2900 miles! I used an oil extractor for the first time that siphoned the oil from the dipstick tube.

What oil extractor are you using?
There is a separate thread asking about info on oil extractors.
I’m also considering buying one for personal use.

Old oil is two years old, unsure of mileage. Son blew up his Equinox, so he is borrowing my DD until his “new” car is available. I had planned to tear down and rebuild this engine, but will drive this for a little bit longer, which is why I changed the oil. Oil pressure is low when hot, but still 10PSI per 1000RPM, and the fresh oil did quiet it down a bit. Rebuild will hopefully occur in June.
