In: ST 10W40 and left the PH9972 on

22 yo Granddaughter's car. I did not realize it was due for an oil change so I just checked it. It uses about a quart every 1200 miles. It was way over full. It had been low so my granddaughter did not want to bother me so she got some oil and added it herself. She also did not remember why the service engine light was on. I think her boyfriend helped. I drained 8.5 quarts out. I had a little talk with her but I don't think it will take.

Jesus, 8.5 quarts in an engine that holds about 4.5, I'm surprised it wasn't smoking like hell.

Kept Wix 51516 in place and refilled with OG Mobil 1 Truck & SUV 5w-30

Not sure what goodness it contains but is markedly darker than most any other motor oil you can find.
